Ruaha is one of the premier safari destinations anywhere in Africa, let alone Tanzania, but has not previously had a high-end accommodation option on offer, until now. The recently opened Jabali Ridge is a permanent, top class, offering from Asilia, who are well established in Tanzania and deliver some of the best safari experiences in the country. Set high on a rocky outcrop with excellent views of the park the main area consists of a pleasant lounge, bar and dining area and just around the corner is an impressive infinity pool with loungers. If that wasn’t enough there is also a small spa with a variety of treatments on offer.

The eight suites are hidden amongst the rocky boulders, positioned to maximise views into the park, that surround this beautiful lodge which makes you feel like you are blending into the environment beautifully. Each suite comes with everything that you need including king-sized beds, flushing toilettes and rain showers as well as an impressive private deck to enjoy the views, the perfect spot to enjoy the wildlife even when not out on the multiple safari activities on offer. As the lodge is so new we are yet to pay a visit ourselves, but we have 100% confidence in Asilia delivering a phenomenal experience for those that can stretch to the cost. Often over used but in this instance completely apt – stunning!
