Set amongst the trees that fringe a vast plain, this is an excellent location to admire the views but also witness the incredible wildlife that this remote and beautiful park has to offer. The impressive two storey main building is set perfectly to maximise the wildlife with a viewing deck upstairs with a lounge, bar and dining area downstairs. Leading out from the main bar and lounge, downstairs is a fire pit where pre-dinner drinks and snacks are served.

The six large en-suite tented rooms are also located on the fringe of the plains and all give the opportunity for wildlife viewing from the veranda as well as just enjoying the view with your morning cuppa. The large tented rooms are simple but very comfortable with en-suite bathrooms at the rear. This is a great option for Katavi and we would have no hesitation in recommending the camp, our only hesitation would be that the camp is fairly simple and if making the journey it might be worth pushing the boat out a little and staying at the Nomad camp. That said, any visit to Katavi is going to magical whenever and wherever you stay.
