Kiba Point is an exclusive-use camp, standing just a few kilometres downstream from its sister lodge, Sand Rivers. Operating as a private camp, deep in the Selous and far away from other lodges, this really is a perfect hideaway for families or groups of friends wanting to get away from it all.

There are four enormous en-suite open-fronted suites (one with an enclosed children’s bedroom adjoining), all slightly set back from the Rufiji River and each with a private plunge pool. The main area is huge and airy, with an additional little pool and lots of space for relaxation and play.

With its own private guide and camp staff, you really have the freedom to explore Nyerere National Park to your own timetable and on your own terms. The camp is run by the incredibly experienced Nomad Tanzania and they offer one of the most varied array of activities in the park, from game drives and walking safaris, to boating, fishing, day trips to Steigler’s Gorge and fly-camping.
