Boat safaris are usually organised as a morning or afternoon activity and are included within the cost of your stay in Nyere National Park. Allowing you to see the wildlife from a completely different perspective, the quiet nature of the boat (in comparison to a game drive vehicles) allows you to get closer to wildlife residing in the water as well animals taking a drink at the water’s edge. Cruising effortlessly and comfortably along the lake and river systems of the Rufiji, passing hippos, crocodiles, baboons, buffalos, elephant and giant kingfisher, is one of Tanzania’s safari highlights.
