Only around 200 tourists visit Katavi each year and if you are lucky enough to be one of them the we think there is no better place to stay. Operated by Nomad, who have long made it their mission to provide the best safari guides in the best locations, this is, in our opinion, the only place to stay! The main camp has two mess tents, one with a lounge and small library and one with a dining area. There is also a fire pit for pre-dinner snacks and drinks which is always a lovely spot for sharing stories of the days adventures.

The six, large, en-suite tented suites are spread out amongst the trees with views of the plains and are often visited by elephant and other wildlife, attracted to the fruits of the same trees. Each room has a flush toilette and safari style gravity showers on request. With comfortable beds, plenty of space and wildlife on your doorstep this is safari as it is meant to be, wild, remote and luxurious. There are no silk curtains and butlers here but everything that you could need is catered for. This is our favourite option for Katavi, without doubt an incredible safari experience awaits for the lucky few.
