Set just outside the park, this is a really-good option for a good standard of accommodation, in a lovely spot, without having to spend a fortune. Although the camp is not located within the park, it is only 3.5km from the main entrance so game drives are not disrupted, the location, on top of a hill over-looking a branch of the Tarangire River, is superb. Being a larger camp has many benefits including an elevated restaurant, lounge, fireplace and swimming pool with decking relaxation area.
The twenty safari tents are well furnished and all on elevated wooden platforms, this not only affords excellent views but also allows wildlife to pass freely around and through the camp. Room facilities include 24-hour electricity, solar powered hot water, en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with table and chairs – the perfect way to relax when not on a safari activity. For that touch of a little extra you could opt for the luxury safari tent that, amongst other things, has an outdoor shower and bath tub on the deck.
Overall, this is an excellent option, the feedback is consistently positive, we really like it within the team here. At half the price of some of the specialist camps set up within the park it is also excellent value for money.
