A stay at Tarangire Treetops is sure to bring back childhood memories of treehouses, excitement, nostalgia and adventure and this luxury camp delivers this in spades. The main lodge is built around a one-thousand-year old baobab tree with a lovely lounge area and swimming pool finished off with a firepit, perfect for pre and post dinner drinks. As you would expect with a high-end lodge the quality of food is excellent with plenty of opportunities for dining under the stars, an experience not to be missed.
The jewel in the crown is undoubtedly the rooms or treehouse suites. The 20 ‘treehouses’ are huge, with a floor space of around 65 square metres, and come with everything you would expect from a five-star lodge including doubles showers, en-suite bathrooms and large private balconies to enjoy the view. There is no doubt that Treetops will deliver an exceptional experience, the only possible downsides are the location on the park boundary and the cost. Having said that this is superb option and the positives outweigh the negatives by a long way, a stay here will not disappoint.
