Set in the most beautifully manicured gardens, and amongst a vast coffee plantation, this is certainly one of our favourites for the area. Only 30 minutes from Lake Manyara and 20 minutes to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Crater, the location works very well for exploring the highlights of the area. The main building is home to a restaurant with a perfect outdoor terrace that has views over the plantation below and a short walk away is the lodge swimming pool, set among bougainvillea, frangipani and jacaranda plants – the colours are incredible, this is a great spot for some r&r.

With just 24 individually furnished rooms this is not a big hotel but there is definitely a feeling of space, plenty of it. There is a wide choice of rooms types available from a myriad of different suites to a whole house, but we find that most opt for the standard rooms. These rooms are very comfortable, en-suite and have everything that you would expect from a 4/5 star hotel with most having verandas and direct access to the garden. While certainly not the most-costly for the area this is one of the higher cost options so doesn’t work for everyone but if you want some luxury in one of the best settings then you can’t go wrong, we love it!
