Another top-quality offering from Nomad, this permanent lodge is in a prime location, set on top of a rocky outcrop, in the northern area of the Serengeti, just a few miles from where the wildebeest make their river crossing from the Masai Mara to the Serengeti. Without doubt a sight to be seen when the great migration is in the area, but the lodge is excellent year-round with the resident wildlife – zebra, topi, gazelles, impala, buffalo and giraffe all frequent the area and ion are rarely far away with leopard, ever present, but always elusive.
Within the main part of the lodge there is a lovely lounge with fireplace, bar and viewing deck, which shows off the stunning scenery. Just around the corner is the dining area which is also open to the views and then just a-stones throw is the swimming pool area which also has some incredible views. The 12 en-suite rooms are enormous, a delightful blend of canvas, plaster and natural wood and each have all of the comforts that you would expect from a five-star lodge, the views from the outdoor deck will take your breath away! While being a reasonably costly option this is definitely value for money for such an incredible safari and lodge experience, it is difficult to choose our absolutely favourite, but this would be in the top 5!
