Day 1
Fly overnight to Kilimanjaro airport, there is a lot of choice with airlines so do let us know if you have a preference.
Day 2
You will be met on arrival and taken, by private vehicle and driver, straight to your hotel which is located around one hour from the airport. You can relax after your flights for the rest of the day, ready for the adventure to begin tomorrow.
Day 3
This morning you will meet your private safari guide who will be with you for the duration of your safari. You will set off for Tarangire and then enjoy an afternoon safari to explore this fantastic park.
Day 4
You have the full day at leisure to enjoy morning and afternoon safari activites, perhaps head to the swamp areas of Tarangire or look for lion & leopard. Your safari guide will make suggestions of where to go depending on what wildlife you would like to see.
Day 5
Today you head to Lake Manyara national park for a day of game drives. You can enjoy the scenery of the park and the mix of mamal and birdlife. You will then head to the village of Karatu and your next hotel.
Day 6
An early start will ensure you are one of the first onto the crater floor while the wildlife is most active. The crater floor is your best chance of seeing rhino in Tanzania and you have a good chance of seeing the African big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, bufallo) on one game drive. Following your game drive you can have some time to either explore the colourful town of Karatu or perhaps have a rest this afternoon.
Day 7
This morning you will make your way to the Serengeti and you will be game driving along the way so you never know what you will see. The Serengeti has an amazing diversity of wildlife. Have lunch on arrival at your camp, settle in and relax and then you enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 8
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives from your camp or you may decide to take a picnic lunch and head out for the day to explore a little further afield. Perhaps take time today to see if you can spot the ever elusive leopard or the beautiful cheetah.
Day 9
Your final day on safari, let your driver know if there is anything that you have not seen and this will be top priority today. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the vast plains, rocky outcrops and fantastic wildlife, some of the best in Africa!
Day 10
You will game drive to one of the airstrips in the Serengeti this morning for your light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. This flight stops a number of times on the way and you will arrive early afternoon where a private vehicle and driver will be waiting to wisk you to your hotel. Settle and relax for the rest of day after your safari adventure.
Day 11
You have a full day at leisure, perhaps have a restful day today.
Day 12
There are many sea-based activities on offer in Zanzibar from wind-surfing, kite boarding and snorkelling to diving and sailing, if water sports are your thing do let us know and we make suggestions for you or, do nothing, the choice is yours!
Day 13
Land based activities in Zanzibar are also plentiful, in the team here we love visiting Stone Town with winding streets, lively markets and a fascinting history and culture there really is something for everyone and worth spending a day here.
Day 14
Your last full day on Zanzibar, we can recommend a spice farm tour and visit to Jozani forest, both are a real highlight of Zanzibar but there are plenty of other activities to choose from if you wish.
Day 15
Depending on your flight times you may have some more time at leisure before your flights back to the UK.
